On Sunday, December 8th, the Hillandale community enjoyed its annual Holiday Party. A large crowd of people from the community turned out for the event, where they enjoyed a wonderful meal and entertainment. Many savory potluck dishes were provided by attendees. These were complemented by cooked turkeys, hot dogs, and beverages that were provided by the HCA. For the many children present, they loved the two tables of craft activities that were set and run again by generous volunteers from the community. The event was enlivened considerably by live music provided by the Jazz Combo from Springbrook High School. The highlight of the evening was the arrival of Santa Claus on a fire truck from the Hillandale Volunteer Fire Department. The big fire truck was festooned with innumerable, bright Christmas lights! Yet once again, the Hillandale community had a great Holiday Party!
